So Soft Ponies

My Little Pony is so soft to touch. So nuzzily soft, you're gonna love her so much!
These ponies are covered from head to toe in a soft, fluffy coating. The So Soft set included earth, unicorn, and pegasus ponies and is the largest set ever released, counting 22 ponies. Cherries Jubilee, Gusty, Heart Throb, Posey, Lickety Split, Surprise, Truly, Lofty, North Star, Magic Star, Ribbon, Cupcake, Buttons, Shady, Wind Whistler, Paradise, Twist, Skippity Doo, Bouncy, Fifi, Scrumptious and Hippity Hop. All the So Soft Ponies came with a brush or comb, ribbon, and scented body sticker.
Most of the So Soft ponies were featured in "My Little Pony The Movie" and TV shows. Some of the more obscure ponies from Year 3 had a come back with this new new look. Generally, so soft fur is lighter than the pony's actual body color, and creates a dramatic difference between the Year 3 and Year 4 versions. North Star, Buttons, Wind Whistler, Shady, Magic Star, Cupcake and Truly were released in Europe without flocking and are often referred as "Non-So Soft" or NSS in short.
Only Paradise, Ribbon and Lofty would not see mainstream release without flocking, though Ribbon and Paradise at least exist as Brazilian variations as does North Star, Wind Whistler, Truly, Magic Star, Twist and Shady
Paradise is featured in an UK promotional brochure as part of the Paradise Estate playset. She was never actually included when the Estate was sold in stores, and the So Soft version is the only version of this pony in the mainstream line.
